Is there any movies about Sherlock Holmes that are good?
I generally dislike Sherlock Holmes movies and TV shows because I think they are boring. The only one that I enjoyed watching is “Young Sherlock Holmes” (1985), directed by Barry Levinson and written by Chris Columbus. Barry Levinson also directed Tin Men, Good Morning Vietnam, Rain Man, Disclosure, and Wag the Dog. Chris Columbus also wrote Gremlins and The Goonies. Columbus would later become a successful director and directed Home Alone and the first two Harry Potter movies. Young Sherlock Holmes depicts the first meeting between a young Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson in a boarding school, and together they solved their first case. The story sets up the background information of the two characters: like how Sherlock Holmes received his trademark costume (cape can cap) and pipe, why Sherlock Holmes would never fall in love (again) and never marry, and the relations between Holmes and his arch-enemy James Moriarty. The movie has a lot more action and special effect — and a much bigge
