Is there any movie related to Apocalypto and 300?
The basic plot of Apocalypto was actually a copy/ripoff of a phenomenal 1966 movie called THE NAKED PREY, directed by and starring Cornel Wilde. Don’t get me wrong – I liked Apocalypto, but the plagiarism is pretty obvious. Set in the South African veldt, THE NAKED PREY has Wilde playing a professional guide leading a group on an elephant hunt through the jungle. When they intrude on a local tribe’s territory, and refuse to pay them “tribute”, the entire group is killed, except for Wilde’s character. He is stripped naked and given a brief head start, then chased by some tribesmen across many miles through the jungle. With a combination of luck, cunning, and desperation, he eludes the warriors, killing several; finds food & water; and, after many days, escapes his pursuers.
