The FDA say Wellbutrin will not harm the fetus. However, although it is an effective anti-depressant it is not a mood stabilizer and sometimes makes anxiety worse instead of better. The main mood stabilizers for bipolar are lithium and Depakote and the FDA says these are Class D medications that DO run the risk of harming the fetus.
