Is there any medication that will help my pregnancy-related mood disorders?
Unfortunately, most doctors won’t prescribe medication for pregnancy-related mood disorders. There just isn’t enough documentation to prove that they are safe for the baby. Be sure though, that you are not alone. Most mothers-to-be go through this and there are many things you can do “non-medicinally” to help you with this problem. First and foremost, contact your doctor. Get a check up and while your there ask him for phone numbers for support groups. There are lots out there and usually they are free. There are also other agencies that will be able to help you. Do you have a local Midwife office? If so, they will be able to provide you will all kinds of free assistance. You probably have a government run “Early years” or “pregnancy” centre. Contact them. There are all sorts of services out there for you. Please take advantage of them. Here are some internet links that may help you out! Feel better soon!
