Answer Unless there was trauma from the auto accident, there is no proof that the accident could have cause the fetal demise. Fetal demise and miscarriage occurs in 15-20% of every pregnancy. Certainly, the accident may have caused some stress or even contributed to the loss, but there is no way to demonstrate that it was the cause of the demise.
