Need, no. Reason, sure…love. God from the beginning has sought to share all that He is, indeed His very heart with man. So what we should be seeing is the wonderful heart of Jesus wanting to include us in his doings. If you have children you will know that if your doing something they love to be involved, and the heart of love was ready to include them before they turned up. Jesus says, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls” Matthew 11:28-29 The twelve disciples particularly were chosen, and I speak numerically, for that number was symbolic of the twelve tribes of Israel. But as one contributor stated it hasn’t stoped there, and I can only thank Him for including me, having mercy on me, I love Him, life as it is suppose to be can never be experienced outside of knowing Jesus!
