Is there any link between the competence program and professional discipline?
There are two circumstances under which a referral must be made to discipline: 1. if the Competence Committee or registrar believes that a member has provided false or misleading information; 2. if a practice visit results in the opinion that a member displays a lack of competence, the member may be incapacitated, or the conduct of the member constitutes unprofessional conduct that cannot be remedied through the continuing competence program.
