Is there any law or guidelines in NYS about profiling youth/male drivers?
While there are no specific laws about police profiling, most police departments have rules and guidelines against the practice. It would be very difficult to prove profiling based on age or gender as one would need to conduct a survey of the jurisdiction to see how many tickets were issued and to whom. Young drivers are statistically proven to receive more tickets, but they are also statistically shown to have more accidents and traffic violations because of their inexperience.
