Is there any kinds of real archaeological evidence that Jesus ever exsisted?Did he leave behind anything?
The gospel record and the various “apocryphal” gospels all seem to suggest that at the very least Jesus existed. It would be quite hard to imagine that it is all just a coincidence that collections of his stories emerged from the ancient world whole cloth about a man named Jesus doing miraculous things. A historical analogue would be Socrates. We only have textual evidence he even existed (Aristotle’s, Xenophon’s and Aristophanes’s writings) but there is very little serious scholarship to say he didn’t exist as a historical person. Just as, looking at the textual evidence (the Gospels and apocryphal gospels) it is very hard to believe that Jesus didn’t exist. Whether or not you believe anything else about him.
