Ans: The School of Continuing and Distance Education, Jawaharlal Technological University, Hyderabad provides B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering through the distance education mode. But this U. G. Programme of JNTU is planned for the benefit of a large majority of Diploma holders, who seek opportunities for academic advancement. JNTU started offering U.G. programmes in Engineering i.e., B.Tech. (Correspondence-Cum-Contact) Programmes in 1984. Admission to this 4 year B.Tech. (CCC) programme is made on the basis of merit rank obtained at the Entrance Test conducted by the University subject to rules of reservation in force. The candidate, who is seeking admission to this B.Tech. (CCC) Programme, should be a Diploma holder in the branch of Engineering concerned, and should be working in Andhra Pradesh. Students of other states are not eligible for B.Tech. (CCC) programmes under Distance Education Mode.
