Even though this type of modeling work has been conducted to a limited extent in the literature, such a broad and multidisciplinary analysis involving many subject matter experts has not been done before in Canada. Other charities have not gone through the same process making the Alzheimer Society a leader in this area. Statistics Canada has some data around years of disability caused by certain neurological diseases which we plan to collect.
