Is there any information available to assist a Notary Public?
Oklahoma Statutes, Title 49 are the laws governing notaries public. It is your responsibility and duty as a notary public to know the laws and rules governing your activities in order to protect you and the people you serve. Additional resources available include the Notary Public Registration rules and the Notary Public Guidebook. The Notary Department within the Secretary of State’s office is also an excellent source of information. However, the department cannot provide legal advice. This must come from an attorney or legal counsel.
