If you are taking oxycodone for chronic pain, then I am not sure what effect you are looking for out of nurofen plus. Nurofen plus, as it is currently designed would be essentially a placebo dose to a person who is used to taking oxycodone routinely. Taking a nurofen plus would be a similar effect to taking less than 1 mg of the oxycodone with a 200 mg ibuprofen. Dependent on your other medications it is likely this would not kill you as has been alluded to by others. But, it would also be reasonable ineffective in accomplishing the goal you intend. Also, as codeine is a weak narcotic, comparatively, you would probably not be able to decrease your oxycodone intake and maintain any pain control, and the side effects from the codeine would be more significant. I would urge you to discuss this with your physician before attempting something such as this substitution.
