there’s three reasons i can think of, i dont know the hadeeths by heart so i’ll sum them up… 1) you’re not suppsoed to alter your appearance (you should be happy how Allah made you) 2) most hair dye gives a coating on the outside of the hair, its hard to explain, but the colour doesnt get absorbed into the hair…its as if there’s a physical layer of dye on your hair…so when you do wudu, technically, your hair doesnt get wet because of this layer of dye, so your wudu isnt qubool 3) the prophet said in a hadeeth that only henna and some other plant really similar to henna can be used to dye hair and if its being dyed, it shouldnt be dyed black… read this link, its got a few things you should know… http://www.islam-qa.com/en/ref/6455/hair… if everyone knew that the prophet said some of those things, they deffinitely wouldnt even consider dying their hair black…
