Forensic nurses are nurses with special training in forensic sciences. They combine healthcare knowledge with their forensic training to provide medical aid to victims, collect evidence and help the crime investigation team. Forensic Nursing was recognized as a special branch in 1995 by the American Nurses Association. History tells us that nurses have long worked with victims of wars and violence.
