Is there any geographical restrictions on Banks?
• Indirect Tax: Banks can collect Excise and Service Tax through e-Payment from tax payers who have been allotted Assessee Code by CBEC authorities. Excise will be collected in our e-Focal Branch in Chennai and Service Tax will be collected in our e-Focal Branch in Mumbai. • Direct Tax: (Corporation Tax, Income Tax, Gift Tax, Fringe Benefit Tax etc.) There is no restriction for collection of e-payment on ZAO code whether Bank is authorized or not authorized. Customers of the Bank from any ZAO can pay his / her direct tax through Banks e-payment facility.
