Is there any free or cheap personal finance software that makes it easy to do cashflow projections?
The scenario I am interested in is something like this… – You have a number of different accounts – You have some regular amounts going in and out of these accounts – You have other not so fixed but fairly predictable streams of expense and income – You have some largely unpredictable one time expenses and income too – You have expenses that you know are coming down the line, e.g. invoice or credit card bill What I would like is to very easily to see – the cashflow projections for each account over time – esp flagging where the balance could go negative, and by how much for how long – the overall total projections for all the accounts as a whole Other things being equall, I am happy to set up recurring and predictable income and cost streams by hand, and enter the unusual transactions manually. (Since I want to forecast cash positions before they happen I can’t wait for transactions to come through anyway!) In general I am not to keen on disclosing my data to a web service, so a desk
