Is there any followup maintenance required once I have the tires replaced?
Aside from the “IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT TIRE SAFETY” below, Ford Motor Company requires that the lug nut torque MUST be retightened at 500 miles after the tires have been replaced. Follow the procedure outlined in the Ford Excursion Owners Guide or return your vehicle to your Ford or Lincoln Mercury dealer or authorized participating Firestone retailer to have the lug nut torque checked at no charge. 12. What if my dealer doesn’t have replacement tires readily available?
