You may experience some stinging, itching, burning, mild pain, tightness and/or peeling of the skin. Peeling is expected but not always necessary for the desired result. You may also see some crusting and puffing, particularly if the peel has been deep. Ice packs may be used in the first 24 to 48 hours after the peel to diminish any discomfort. Analgesics can be used for any mild pain that may be encountered.
