Is there any difference in the strength of the wax laminated vs. the poly-laminated wraps?

Neither wax nor poly adds any considerable strength to the laminated combinations. However if the wrap line is using “heat set” outside headers (KLB + Poly) the heating process does tend to delaminate the wax combo making it less strong. As most rolls travel on their ends while en route to their customer’s warehouse, this means that a great deal of stress is put on that portion of the package. It follows that if the wax laminated material has become delaminated in the packaging process; it is an accident waiting to happen. While poly will become molten in this same process, it quickly returns to its original state once it cools. As a result the poly-laminated product remains laminated and is stronger too.
