Is there any difference between midi controller electronic keyboard with standard electronic keyboard?
Just about any keyboard made today can be used as a midi controller. There are a few exceptions, but for our purposes we need not worry about that. Here’s the main difference: A midi controller produces no sound of its own. All it does is transmit data such as what note(s) is/are played, how long they are played, how hard they are played, etc. The data gets sent via midi to whatever you are using to produce sound. A standard electronic keyboard is capable of producing sound, either with built-in preset sounds, or by allowing you to shape a sound by some sort of synthesis. If this keyboard is midi capable, it can transmit midi data as well, and therefore be used as a midi controller (simultaneously with producing sound if you wish). I hope this helps.
