Is there any definate news about the new CGI Thundercats film being made?

There isn’t much news about it at all. Other than Warner Brothers are funding it and it will be a CGI films based on the events at the start of the series. I guess it’ll be an extended version of the origin story with a view to making it a film franchise. It has been written by a guy called Paul Sopocy and this is his first feature movie script (having worked as a publicity writer for Fox and writing short films). Other than that details are rather scant at the moment. If you are a fan, there is a rather scary live action fan film floating about on YouTube.
