Is there any correlation between short toenails and heart attacks (disease)?
If anything, neat, well trimmed toenails would seem to prevent fungus, split nails, ingrown toenails…reducing the possibility of infection entering the blood stream… From the experience I’ve had dealing with heart patients…high blood pressure, high cholesterol, poor diet high in fats, too much sodium are more apt to cause a person to develop heart disease. If heart disease runs in the family, then it’s even more important to eat a ‘heart smart’ diet…to prevent the arteries from clogging…to take the salt shaker off the table…to substitute Smart Balance spread for butter…limit eggs to 2 a week, switch from whole milk to 1% milk…replace the fatty meats (ham, sausage, bacon) with breast of chicken, lean pork, fish. Ditch the white bread and have whole grain breads…have a huge supper salad a couple nights a week.
