Is there any chance that the Inpatient Unit will remain open to provide overnight care?
Once we know the transition to the Community Care Center is successful, our proposal is that we no longer provide overnight care. The Inpatient Unit will evolve to become the Community Care Center. The need for beds for overnight stays at MIT Medical has diminished significantly in recent years as health care delivery has changed. Thus, MIT Medical will change to assure that it maintains a high standard of care for the community we serve.
