According to Marx, the author of Communism, the hard way to Communism is a Prolitarian revolt, like Adam B suggests. The easy, methodical way is Republic to> Democracy to> Socialism to> Communism. Like boiling a frog. Start by putting a frog in a pot of cold water, place the pot on the stove and raise the temperature 1 degree at a time every 10 minutes. Voila! Boiled naive frog. The world has never seen true Communism. The closest we’ve been in practice is Socialism. During the election season, people chastised me for suggesting that Obama was a Socialist because, they said, he wasn’t for nationalizing our markets. Of course there is such a thing as Socialism without nationalizing markets if government maintains strong control of said markets, but I never dreamed that in just a few short months our government would be nationalizing our markets. First the financial markets, and now moving on to the equities with the automakers. Now I find myself hoping Obama isn’t a Socialist. Sigh… Y
