Is there any brand in the UK which makes sugar free cakes & chocolate?
Thornton’s do diabetic chocolate which is sugar free also canderal have their own brand of chocolate but haven’t been able to find it in the shops. Not sure about cakes. You could have ago making your own cakes using sweeteners instead of sugar. This Stevia stuff sounds interesting. I think might try that.
There are diabetic ranges for chocolates and cakes nowadays but I’ve been told that they often have other things in them (sweeteners) that are not so good for you. Also, they tend to price them higher just because of the ‘diabetic’ label on them (my dad’s a diabetic and this is what his doc has told him). I don’t know if you can get this stuff sugar free (and if so, they have other things in them which are not s good for you) so it’s best to read the labels and go for things that are lower in sugar. Some chocolate actually has health benefits, you’ll be glad to know I’m sure; dark chocolate is supposed to be the best option.
