Is there any best practice for implementing agile/scrum in an data warehouse environment?

Data warehouse projects require a high degree of planning and design (sort of BDUF) which is in contradiction with the agile methodology. But it is undeniable that agile brings lots of benefits to any sort of environment. So I want to find out if there is any best practice out there that I can use to implement agile in a data warehouse/data mart environment.
