Is there any anti-virus protection within the ACCD mailing system?
A great deal. Any e-mail arriving from the Internet is subjected to a virus scan at the mail gateway. If it passes this test, it is then passed to the Sendmail system where it is filtered for viruses and spam. If the message is for an Exchange user, the message is then sent to the Exchange server where it is checked again for viruses. With this system, at the very least, each message is checked twice for viruses and some are checked three times.
