Is there any alcohol stronger than the 80% absinth?
Yes, Everclear is 190 Proof, which is 95% alcohol. The Absente Absinth I have is only 110 proof, so 55% alcohol. Some of the posters above are getting proof and Alcohol % mixed up. Proof is twice the Alcohol %. So 90 proof is only 45% alcohol. Everclear was outlawed in my state 15 years back due to a couple of people who decided to have a shot contest. One had 22 shots and died, and the other had 21, ended up in a coma for a week, when he came out of it, he lost sight in one eye and had severe liver damage. The other incident was a college student who drank 15 shots and died. Killer stuff!
