Is there any advantage to using the new Blood-Free Campy media?
A. Some studies have shown an increased rate of recovery using the charcoal agar based Campy, Blood-Free (Cat. no. G06, Karmali formula). The charcoal helps to neutralize any toxins that might inhibit the growth of C. jejuni, C. coli, and C. laridis. The inhibitory characteristics of this media are the same as our Campy CVA (Cat. no.
