Is there another program besides StreamAnywhere which I can use to produce asf clips?
Yes, Microsoft’s windows media encoder 7 (wme7) is available for free and can be downloaded here. Note that although the top half of this tutorial is specific to StreamAnywhere, much of the bottom half applies to wme7 as well. Note that with wme7, you can not select a particular time interval to encode like you can with StreamAnywhere. This means you would need to use a separate program to splice a portion of the mpeg clip and then feed it to wme7.
