Is there an overall leadership structure, spoken or not?
Every organization must have some form of leadership or structure whether formal or not. The Brethren recognize the need of leadership and while they have no appointed positions, a structure and authority akin to that of a family operates. A well coordinated and active group such as the Brethren requires leadership to be effective. The Brethren enjoy a definite, forthright and stable leadership, not driven by popularity or election cycles. The Brethren look to universal leadership for the whole of that persons natural life bringing stability, consistency and direction.
