Is there an orientation program for parents and family members?

Since transfer students are generally more independent, there is no structured program for parents and family members, but they are welcome to contact the Office of Student Affairs for information and resources for parents and families of Suffolk students. A Handbook for Families will be mailed to all new families to the Suffolk community in September.

Yes! There is a separate program for parents and families on Wednesday, January 12th. Participants should register separately for Family Orientation online starting on November 1, 2010. Please be advised there is a $25 fee for each participant. Children under the age of twelve are free.

A. Yes! We encourage you to bring your parents and family members that will be supporting you financially and emotionally during your four years here. For planning purposes, Family Orientation is a one-day program that takes place on August 31. We request that your family members reserve a spot in advance so that we can plan for their participation. If you have questions about Family Orientation, please do not hesitate to call the Office of Orientation & New Student Programs at 617.573.8321.
