Is there an organisation that regulates Personal Trainers?

0

Yes, there is. The organisation is called REPs – Register for Exercise Professionals and has been set up to regulate the UK health, fitness and exercise industry. You can access the Register at www.exerciseregister.org and look up any registered Personal Trainer’s qualifications. Members must have industry based qualifications and work within a Code of Ethical Practice. There are different REPs qualifications although Personal Trainers must be qualified to Level 3 (currently the highest level). In addition, personal trainers can attain qualifications in specialties, for example: Exercise referrals (exercise on prescription), weight management, etc.
