The City of Susanville has an ordinance prohibiting any vehicle to be left standing upon any city street for a period longer than 72 hours. The Police Department will issue a notice of overtime parking (72 hr notice) requiring the vehicle to be moved. Failure to move the vehicle within the 72 hrs will result in the vehicle being towed. The registered owner will be liable for the impound fees. You can report abandoned vehicles in the city by calling our 24 hour dispatch center at 530.257.2171.
