Is there an much deeper meaning behind Where The Wild Things Are the movie?
Yeah as the other poster has mentioned these Wild Things Definetly show traits that are reflected in himself, the interaction of the characters with Max, tries to justify their feelings and why they act wild. Its certainly a reflection of Max’s life in the real world where he is bullied by the his sisters friends and where he has trouble coming to terms with his Father leaving his Mother, and the fact that his Mother’s attention is now diverted to her new boyfriend. This particular aspect and jealousy factor is played out in the fact that Max becomes the newcomer to the island and clearly favours some of the Wild Things over the others, when really they should all be one family. Also the fact they come to realise that Max is not the King like Max realise his Mum is not some superhero but someone trying to pick up the pieces of her life too and move on.
