Is there an interface between N2O and NATURAL Security?
N2O is able to secure itself and a site’s environment without requiring the site to purchase additional software. Therefore, N2O does not require NATURAL Security to be installed. Many sites have been very pleased by this fact. These sites either did not like NATURAL Security or did not wish to purchase it. However, N2O is very flexible and can be interfaced with NATURAL Security through the various N2O user-exits. Some N2O sites have coded user-exits that enable them to interface N2O with NATURAL Security to meet their specific security needs. N2O does include an interface to Treehouse Software’s SECURITRE product, which secures ADABAS, NATURAL, and Utilities through a System Security Facility (SSF), such as RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret. The N2O interface helps the site maintain a single security rule base by allowing the site to control NATURAL program migration activity through RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret. Having a single security rule base reduces administration and training costs assoc
