Is there an example that shows how CO2 emission tax is calculated?
Before April 2002, company car tax was based on the number of business miles you used your car for, so the more miles you did the less you had to pay. But from April 2002 onwards, all this changed, and you can now do as many or as few business miles as you need (we’re sure you’ll want to do loads!). This is because company car tax rates are now based on the amount of CO2 emitted by your car. So cars like MINI, which have low CO2 emissions, will pay lower tax – good eh!
