There are a lot of emails of this nature going around right now, typically with a subject of something like: UPS Delivery Problem NR [some number] Opening the email itself is ok, however they have attached .zip files which contain an executable that will install a virus on your system if opened. UPS will not send an attachment if they contact you about a problem, so this is your first clue to a fraud. You can examine the headers of the email for a Return-path value, if this is anything other than *@ups.com then you have another sign of a fraud. The from field is often disguised as UPS Manager [name] or UPS Support [name] with an address of package@ups.com or delivery@ups.com etc. A real email from UPS would be just a name (with the UPS Manager/Support) and an address of support@ups.com In general, any email containing an attachment of any sort should not be opened even if it is from someone you know, unless they told you specifically that they are indeed the ones that sent it.
