Is there an easy way to replace a window sill?
Answer Randy, Yes. Ron Ok really if you have drywall or plaster board it is fairly simple and the same would also work with wood but it is a little more difficult. First what you have to do is remove the existing sill. This might mean cutting it away or just taking it away by little chunks. But the slower you go and the less damage that you do to the sides the easier it will be to repair. IF you have drywall there is a metal corner bead on the front corner that you are going to have to replace and remove from the lower wall. Once you get this all removed now just cut a piece of drywall to fit. No need to really go under the window just go right up to it. When you get it cut put a little liquid nails on the back side stick it place pick it up to put some air under it again and then put it in place again. Now go ahead and replace the corner bead. Cut the ends at an angle to fit. Nail it in place with a couple nails. If you were good you can use the ones that you removed but they are prob
