I’m not a vet either, but every yeast infection in the ear I’ve ever seen has been treated with drops or cream applied in the ear. 🙁 You could ask the vet if any oral medications would work, however. While a steroid medication wouldn’t clear the infection, it might bring the swelling and pain down enough to allow administration of the drops. I’m with the others, however, who said that he doesn’t like handling/touching because he’s never been acclimated to it. If you can slowly get him used to the idea of being touched all over, that will make grooming, vet visits and administration of medication much easier. You’ll have to go slowly, but if you can just spend a few minutes each day lightly touching the areas he’s sensitive about and rewarding him for accepting it, that helps. Just give him long, slow strokes on his body and every so often, extend that to a foot, or his tail, or his ears, or gently lift a lip. Reward for accepting him touching the uncomfortable bits and then go right b
