Is there an alternative medicine remedy for Conjunctivitis?
The only one that I can recommend is, washing the eye with a mild salt solution. Use about a quarter of a teaspoon of salt in a quarter of a pint of boiled and cooled water. wash eye using cotton wool soaked in this solution. Always wipe from nose side of the eye out. Only wipe once with a piece of cotton wool, then discard and use a new one, so you are not passing the infection between eyes or into the salt solution. If you do this morning and night it should help to clear a minor infection. If however it does not clear within a few days or gets worse you must see your doctor. Conjunctivitis is very infectious and easily passes between family members, so avoid sharing flannels and towels.
