The Earth is currently situated about 24 light years above the galactic plane. The Earth will not pass through the plane of the galaxy for another 27 million years. “What I wonder about if there is going to an alignment Earth – Sun – Massive Black Hole in the center of the Milky Way at Dec 21st 2012” This is not going to occur either. In fact, this has already happened, back in 1998. Nothing happened then. Even if it were to occur again in 2 years, why would you think anything would happen this time? Those two scenarios you listed are entirely unlikely, unfounded by any research. Theyre just scare tactics pushed by New Age kooks without any understanding of astronomy or physics, intent on selling their books. Ignore them.
