Is there an algorithm behind making natures fractal art i.e. snowflakes?
Fractal formulas are very simple, but converting an existing geometric system to a fractal is very difficult (if not impossible), because fractals use imaginary numbers to generate the pattern. Since there is no mathematical algorithm (that I am aware of) that can produce predictable imaginary numbers, I would think it is not possible, especially if it is to be performed through pattern analysis.
