Is there an age limit for new born babies to fly?

As long as your child has had a check-up with the doctor and everything is fine, your child will be safe to fly almost immediately after birth. I have seen children as young as 1 day old fly. Make sure that even after your initial visit to the doctor, you take your child for another check-up right before you leave. The only thing that might hold you up is the passport. Unless you are able to add him on as a dependent to your passport, your baby will need his/her own. When I went to have my first international flight with my son, he had his Tunisian passport. I was informed by the US Embassy here that since I am American, he automatically has US citizenship and will need a US Passport in order to enter the US. Thankfully, the Embassy grants passports faster than they do in the US itself! We got his passport within the same week. I’ve been flying internationally and domestically with my children since they were 2 months (now 7&5). At least three trips a year are the children and I travel
