You may find it easier to hire (rent) cars and other financial transactions, as well as avoiding lines (queues) at customs. Be wary of theft of a UK passport, they’re valuable to economic migrants & gangs. I have carried both passports for 42 years. Flash your Canadian passport at all available opportunities. Stick Canadian flags on luggage, rucksacks etc. We are the world’s most popular visitors, or possibly least unpopular along with the Aussies & Kiwis. I’ve had German police apologise to me, Parisian waiters exhibit courtesy, French ticket inspectors let my girlfriend & I travel with bikes on Express trains.
