No, the Selection Committee looks at the applicant’s overall academic, leadership, and community service achievement, which can be demonstrated by students at a higher education institution of any size. An applicant’s college or university is not a consideration in the Committee evaluation. Mitchell Scholars in the past have represented a wide range of colleges and universities in the United States.
