Is there an additional charge for thick mounts or glass mounted slides?
As mentioned earlier, the standard sized plastic slide mounts do not warrant the additional transfer fees. An additional $0.25 per scan is occasionally charged for the extra thick plastic or thick glass mounts if they often require individual scanning (which must be done by hand and increases the processing time) but we would always contact a client before charging any additional fee. If you feel your order includes slides that are in the extra thick mounts contact us in advance of placing you order. For orders that primarily consist of standard mounts with only a few Extra Think mounts there should be no extra fees involved.
