Focus on her mannerisms, her voice, which Nick finds hard to identify and can only provide examples of (like describing it like a tonic). Then pay attention to how Daisy changes. As the book progresses, she sits heavy like lead. Look in chapter 5 and 6 at the early descriptions of both Gatsby and Daisy as young lovers. It will give you a better idea of what they actually looked like, but for an analysis, don’t miss how they carry themselves. Nick offers lots of details on how Gatsby dresses, stands, and speaks.
