Is there a way to turn off the music in Hooked on Phonics Master Reader and still hear the instructions?
There is no option available to turn off the music in the program. Lowering the computer volume will lower the volume for all sound in the program, including the instructions. When I try to run Hooked on Phonics Master Reader after installation, I get a script error. This will occur if you are trying to run the game before installation is complete. Please wait until the Close button appears in the installer. A window with the Master Reader icon will pop up at the beginning of the installation, however the program is not finished installing. To hide that window and see your installation progress, click the purple area of the screen.
